 Pastor Fred Haley
Fred served for 32 years as a Pastor in the Northern California District of
the Christian and Missionary Alliance. His initial assignment was as Pastor of
Christian Education at Neighborhood Church of Chico where the Sunday School
attendance grew from 350 to 1000 under his leadership. During the last decade
he also served as an Adjunct Professor of Bible and theology at Simpson University
in Redding California. Currently he is designing Christian Education material along
with a team of people who are committed to develop creative tools to teach the
Word of God to children today. Fred, along with his wife Sonja, leads teams of children
and adults from Bethel Church to put on children’s conferences in other churches.
The key to these conferences is the empowering of the children on our teams to
become the trainers of the children in the churches we are serving.
Staging for Long Range Vision.
Too often the Church has mere replicated a school room setting to provide a “space”
for the “Christian education of our children. This speaker believes that room environments
should be sculpted to create an adventure center. The use of space should involve more than
chairs, whiteboards, bulletin boards, sound systems and low stages.
It is important to create an environment for our children that will reinforce the lessons we desire to teach them.
From The simple hands on tasks of making crafts that fit with the lesson, to building props and staging
for dramatic presentations, to stripping a room bare and reconstructing the entire interior shape, effort
needs to be put forth to make the space where children meet exciting.
If Chucky Cheese is more exciting than our Sunday school then we need to
get to work and ask the children to give us some fresh ideas.
Mrs. Sonya Haley
Sonya Haley has pastored children for over 30 years. Born in a missionary family,
she is committed to taking the Kingdom of God to the children of the world.
She has ministered to children on 3 continents - Europe, Asia, and Africa, and Israel,
as well as in US & Canada. Sonya leads children to the heart of God - to hear His secrets,
declare His Word and see dramatic changes in their world. She teaches them to hear God’s voice,
how to be Strong in the Lord in the tough times, and how to bring healing to their family and friends.
She loves to see kids set free from anger and fear, and releases the Love and Joy of the Father to all children.
Sonya & her husband, Fred, train 5-fold teams to do children’s conferences -
training and releasing leaders and children to be Kingdom Warriors and world changers.
She is committed to producing resources to release children into revival.
She and her husband minister cross-generationally to equip adults to have fun
teaching children Kingdom Truths. Sonya and Fred have worked with Forerunner Chinese Church in Fremont,
CA. leading their children’s conferences and training their leaders to do the work of the ministry with their own children.
FRCC children’s leaders are now writing their own curriculum and leading their own children’s conferences under
the Coaching of Fred & Sonya Haley. It is a Joy to work with the Chinese people – your children are bright
and worthy of the best of the Kingdom of God!
Sonya has written life-changing curriculum on “Praying from the Father’s Lap” and “Worship as a Lifestyle”.
Other materials are in process now, including a SWAT Team Handbook and a Parenting Manual for Raising a Daniel and
an Esther, Helping Your Kids Live Above Their Circumstances. *These are yet to be published.
